Warehouse/Logistics Assistant

OVERALL PURPOSE:

 

To pro-actively undertake customer support activities within the warehouse area and any associated operations, whilst providing an optimum level of support to both the Company and the customer; and always aiming to meet and exceed customer satisfaction expectations.

 

To proactively assist and support colleagues within the BARTS Health Contract.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To undertake all day to day duties within the General warehouse and logistics movements
  • Undertake as and when required relevant administrative duties.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times within the Finished Goods / Spares Warehouse and outside carparks. This includes acting as Banksman for large deliveries.
  • Efficiently manage the storage of our product, at all times trying to ensure that we keep 3rd Party Storage to a minimum.
  • Ensure any off-site storage facility is checked and maintained, taking and collecting if ad-hoc requirements are identified.
  • Publish weekly stock lists of our Finished Goods / Demo Stock / Available Rental Assets to the sales force and senior Management.
  • Carry out Stock check counts with the assistance of the Stores and Warehouse Supervisor
  • Ensure all paperwork is maintained and an audit trail of any product from In and Out of the Warehouse Stores, Goods stock and any Rental Assets we currently have in the warehouse.
  • Be responsible for picking / packing and despatch of Spares Stock direct to customers / Service Engineers.   This will involve coordinating collections with our couriers
  • Be integral to the process of despatching Finished Goods to customers. This might involve, visual check and testing of hospital bed frames for despatch. Ensuring the correct serialised products identified on the Picking lists are the ones to be delivered.
  • Assist with loading/unloading of lorries, liaise with drivers to ensure they take the correct products.
  • Where needed assist other departments with customer/client information and records.
  • In busy periods be flexible to assisting work colleagues to effect a full professional service from the business.
  • Work with our internal SAP B1 computer system to ensure any stock is checked against delivery notes, booked in against purchase orders and stored in their assigned racks.

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To maintain an up to date knowledge of Linet and other associated products, including third party equipment, service methodologies and techniques, current Health & Safety and associated standards necessary to provide effective and efficient Service Management to the region.
