DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR

 

SUMMARY

The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for coordinating workflow and communication within the distribution center. Under the direction of the Distribution Operations Supervisor, the Distribution Coordinator will provide overall support to the distribution team, complete data entry, audit and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and inventory control functions. Responsible for compliance with established internal control procedures to maintain inventory accuracy.  Assist with receiving, stocking and distributing inventory as well as assembling medical devices, and installing mattresses and accessories in the production process.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Verify the accuracy of product data including researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Create and distribute established and requested reports to Operations accurately and timely.
  • Maintain receiving and shipping reports and other electronic records in Linet systems.
  • Responsible for providing distribution administrative support, accurately inputting data, verifying and closing orders, and communicating shipment status or issues via email.
  • Load and unload of product as required by business needs.
  • Coordinate the order pulling and shipping confirmations process with staff.
  • Ensure all invoices, load summaries and labels are printed, sorted, and distributed accordingly.
  • Responsible for maintaining status of business supplies for Distribution.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound truckloads, LTL (less than truckload) ground shipments for the distribution center, and return shipments, including selecting products and setting up for shipment.
  • File all paperwork according to company retention guidelines.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned (processing calls and e-mails as dictated).
  • Creating and maintaining reporting in Microsoft Excel or other related platforms.
  • Assist the warehouse technicians with pulling and packing orders, trash removal, and production of hospital beds.


                       

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct employee supervisory responsibility.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • 3-5 years distribution experience or comparable experience in industrial environment.
  • SAP Business One or similar ERP system experience preferred.
  • Experience and basic understanding of inventory control concepts.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The work will be at 10400 Bryton Corporate Center Drive, Suite 100, Huntersville, NC, 28078, a non-temperature-controlled environment.

 

TRAVEL

Some travel may be required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to push hospital beds and lift parts boxes and other bed accessory components.  The employee frequently is required to sit and stand.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
