CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME/PRN) - REMOTE

 

SUMMARY

The Clinical Instructor will support the training of products (bed frames and support surfaces) for the national market. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver expert training in healthcare capital medical equipment in a clinical setting both in person and remotely.
  • Assist with executing product trials
  • Thoroughly train end user clinicians, administration, and staff development personnel on the safe and efficient use of manufacturer’s product line.
  • Contribute to the resolution of equipment issues identified during training sessions and immediately escalate any issues as required.
  • Competently and professionally interact with a broad range of key customers, including nursing, administration, PT/OT, radiology, environmental services, physicians, and maintenance/biomed staff.
  • Support Account Executives during large and /or multiple product installations; deliver product to floor and provide training as directed.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience of selling in the healthcare field; durable medical equipment solutions consulting preferred. Experience with staff education in a clinical setting required.
  • Understanding of clinical environment; Registered Nurse or Critical Care training preferred.

                                                                                                                       

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business journals, financial reports, and contracts.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to customers, top management, public groups.

 

CLINICAL EXPERTISE

Able to rely on clinical experience and expertise while providing solution-based support during presentations, clinical trials/demos and post-installation clinical support.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and offer appropriate solutions.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  May be required to push and/or maneuver medical equipment throughout hospital corridors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The work environment will consist of employee’s home office and healthcare facilities. Prefered major cities: Dallas, Nashville, Kansas City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Charlotte, Oklahoma City, Houston, Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, and others.

 

TRAVEL

This position requires variable travel ranging from approximately 40% to 80%, locally, regionally and nationally.  Overnight travel may be required, as well as travel via commercial air carrier.

 

 

COMPENSATION

The hire in rate for this position is between $45/hour and $60/hour.

This position is not benefit eligible as a part-time role.
