For a successful international company working in the field of medical technology based in Slaný, close to Prague, we are looking for a Technical Supervisor - Wound Care.

The intention is to train this individual to become the Technical Manager of the CZ & UK teams. This person must be looking for career progression, be willing to learn and have the potential to take on a senior management role within the next 2-4 years.


Your role:

  • To manage the technical activities and staff of the Linet Wound Care (LWC) CZ technical team (workload and operational matters such as KPI etc.)
  • For New Product Designs (NPD): To ensure successful completion of the Product Implementation phase of all wound care NPD projects by managing the correct and timely performance of all production set up activities
  • For current and legacy Linet manufactured wound care products: To provide technical support to - Production assembly team, Production engineering /Technology team, Supply chain and CZ Service department
  • Assist with technical problems investigation
  • Provide technical advice on product servicing and repairs
  • Supervising Post Launch Design Changes by customer request
  • Answering technical questions on production parts, their numbers, production cost, specifications, where used and availability
  • Assist with customer complaints investigations or production quality problem investigations – cooperation with quality department
  • Perform any mechanical or system design tasks requested by R & D Director
  • Supervise any mechanical design or NPD support tasks delegated to the CZ team
  • Provide the R&D in the UK with accurate and timely reports on all activities being undertaken by the CZ technical support team
  • Control, authorise and approve the issue of specifications and drawings in line with company procedures to linet CZ or sub-contractors
  • Check and approve document translations from English to Czech done by the CZ wound care technical team
  • Maintain a regular and appropriate level of communication between the CZ & UK wound care teams to ensure all CZ technical activities are performed effectively and to the required quality level




  • University level qualification in an engineering discipline - preferably Mechanical
  • Experienced user of 3D Cad systems
  • Capable of managing the technical work load and content of junior team members. Good and persuasive communicator when discussing with senior management and peer group from different departments
  • Native Czech speaker with very high level of technical English both verbal and written
  • Good problem solving skills - capable of creating innovative solutions while staying within the business disciplines, rules and regulations
  • Experience in the medical device market would be an advantage but not essential
  • Must work well within a small team, be self-motivated to do the best job themselves and help others do the same
  • Willing to learn about the technical and clinical aspects of the wound care medical device market
  • Willing to travel internationally for short periods of time for training, customer/service support & internal department communication
