How to prepare for an interview

The interview is the gateway to your new job. Don’t underestimate your preparation. Try using some of our tips.

Always arrive at the interview at the agreed time. Dress to suit the occasion – a degree more formally than for a normal work day. Even a seemingly small thing such as appearance can affect your success. And the most important advice? Come well rested and composed; it’s more than likely you’ll be given a knowledge test.

The recruitment process takes place in several phases:

If you are applying for a job position that requires the presentation of a valid certificate/permit, don’t forget to show it at the interview. The HR officer will then talk to you about your plans and expectations for the future, your specialisation, work experience and perhaps a bit about your other interests. Part of the interview will be a short conversation in a foreign language. If part of the interview for the given position includes knowledge, psychometric or skill tests, these can be completed on the spot, or they can be sent for completion on-line.
