How to prepare for an interview

Don’t underestimate your preparation for an interview, and remember that a positive first impression is often the key to success.

Always arrive at the agreed time, and be precise. You can hardly expect to win any sympathy by arriving late. Dress to suit the occasion, which means at least a grade higher than what you normally wear and come well rested. It’s more than likely you’ll be given a knowledge test.

The recruitment process takes place in several phases:

The HR officer will talk to you about your plans and expectations for the future, your studies, your specialisation, work experience and perhaps a bit about your other interests. Part of the interview is a short conversation in a foreign language. You can also make an impression by presenting your graduate thesis, student projects or other work you completed during your studies.
